February 2-February 6
This class has shown great effort and dedication this week!
Reading
This week I spent a lot of time reading alongside the students and observing their progress. It is really great to see them using various reading strategies when reading a text. They are become more confident readers and that's for sure!
Literacy
Students practiced extending their sentences using the following question words: what, when, where, and why. They are developing a better understanding of how these question words can be used to extend sentences.
Math
We have been continuing learning about graphing. Students made their own pictograph and dot plot based on information they gathered. Please ask your child about what question they chose for their graphs!
Valentine's Day Celebration ❤️
We are excited to celebrate Valentine's Day with a Valentine exchange on Wednesday, February 11th during the morning. Participation is optional. If your child chooses to bring valentines, please make sure there are enough for 22 students (there are 23 in total) in the morning class. To help with easy distribution, have your child write their name in the "from" section and leave the "to" section blank.
